Il Mulinacci

An old converted small stone watermill, with large garden and parking, giving a tranquil hideaway among the hills surrounding Bagni di Lucca. The old workings of the mill remain in the cantine below, which could be converted to living space if required.

The property is in excellent condition as it has been restored for rental. Inside there is a modern kitchen/dining room, a bathroom, a small balcony overlooking the stream, and a double bedroom. Upstairs is a small twin room. There is gas central heating.

Outside is a terrace with roof to provide shade, and up several steps the very large fenced garden, mainly lawn, with swimming pool. There are also several eating areas, one with a pergola to give shade, and garden lighting. The stream runs around the garden, although far below.

Below the mill is a further terrace and the cantine on two levels. One has a wood oven, another is the original kitchen with old cotto floors and a fireplace.

Below these are rooms containing the mill machinery. These are built into the rock and currently in a poor state. There are also two further cantine, unconnected, used for storage and the central heating boiler. Below this is the rocky stream, although the house has its own spring to supply water.
